Paul joined the firm from Wellington in 1974 and was a partner until 2009. He is now a Consultant practising in the dispute resolution area of the firm, especially family protection and relationship property cases.

Outside interests include golf, boating in the Marlborough Sounds, tennis and mountain biking. Paul is the Chairman of the Nelson Bays Rugby Union's Judicial Committee and is still a loyal Wellington rugby supporter.
