Ross joined Hunter Smith in 1981 and has been a partner in the firm since 1983. Originally from Invercargill he worked as a lawyer in Christchurch, London and Wellington before coming to Nelson. Ross is assisted by Bronwyn Lane on many property transactions.

Ross enjoys accessing the Nelson outdoors by mountain bike, kayak or on foot. He serves as a Trustee of the MacDonald Charitable Trust and is honorary solicitor to Alzheimers Nelson.
